Ways to Donate and to Help us Raise Awareness

Your contribution is both a tremendous help financially, and a great indication that you are aware of the devastating effects of a traumatic or acquired brain injury, that can happen to anybody, at any age, at any moment, anywhere, without any consideration of social level, culture, or belief.

Unfortunately, in our today's society governed by the power of money, not a chance a given to those who simply don't have the financial means to cover the cost of Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy treatments. For example, a session can range from $100 to $150. Even though big improvements have been noticed in many survivors after 10 to 20 sessions - even after months or years after the initial accident occured - each survivor is a unique case and noticeable improvement can be different from one individual to another - an average of 40 sessions minimum is to be considered. Do the math and you will see that HBOT doesn't come cheap ( minimum of $4000 for 40 treatments). And HBOT for brain injury, just like tens of other medical conditions is not covered by any insurance.

That's why our mission, until HBOT is approved for all these conditions and especially for TBI and ABI, and even beyond, will be to bring hope and help financially those who cannot afford these treatments out of their own pockets.

By donating, you are supporting our efforts to make many, many people's hope, dream, come true. To get their life back!

"We believe in the Power of Plenty! Many people giving small amounts will together contribute in making big changes in survivors' life"

Your donation is tax deductible, to the fullest extent of the law.

FUNDRAISING to date:
$7659.83

DIRECT DONATIONS to date:
$3350.75

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please be aware that if you decide to donate, The INCOME TAX RECEIPT will not be available until further notice, the reason being that the Federal Government won't get us a Tax Number as long as HBOT is not fully recognized as a legitimate therapy for ABI and/or TBI and approved by the medical community. Despite everything, if you decide to help us financially, in advance, thank you so much for your generosity and contribution.

VOTE. We need your support to get our donation page active on GiveMeaning

GiveMeaning is another way for The Michael Coss Brain Injury Foundation to receive donations. But before having a donation page set up, The Foundation's project has to be approved by 100 votes.
Votes are a way to verify that there is adequate support for a fundraising idea. When you vote for our Project, you are not making a donation or financial commitment of any kind – you are simply indicating you think the Project is worthwhile and should go ahead. The Michael Coss Brain Injury Foundation needs your votes, all your votes by October 27th, 2009. Without these votes by this deadline, our donation page won't be activated and we won't unfortunately be able to collect donations through GiveMeaning.

LEGACY GIFTS

We all have the opportunity to make a difference in our community. Through planned and asset giving, your gift will make a difference and bring hope to hundreds of Brain Injury Survivors who without your generosity, wouldn't have a ghost of a chance to have a better quality of life and more dignity.
Here are some ways we put together for you to consider - N/A
Please speak to an accountant or financial advisor to discuss and understand the impact of your acts on your personal taxes.

In-Kind Contributions - Goods and Services

In-kind contributions from businesses can include the donation of advisory services, financial expertise, expertise of all kinds, services and materials, promotion and advertisement, seconded personnel, donated labour, printing, misc. equipments....
We invite you to contact us if you want to contribute in this matter. We really do appreciate your much needed help in this regard.

In-Kind Contributions - Real-Estate / Office Spaces

As of November 18th, 2009, the Foundation still in its early stages, doesn't have an office for managing its daily operations. Meetings and working sessions are held in different locations.
We are looking at finding office premises that would allow us to work and carry out our mission more efficiently. Because we try to put all the monies we raise into directly helping the brain injury survivors in paying for the costs of HBOT treatments, we cannot really afford to pay for an office rental and other bills such as electricity, gas, insurances....etc. Therefore, we appeal to your generosity.
If you want to help us by providing us with premises that you don't use for a long period of time, or even better, if you want to rid yourself of a nonproducing property, an office space that you do not use. please contact us. For convenience reason, we are looking at premises in the Coquitlam - Coquitlam Centre area. But any other location will be taken into consideration.

Speak with your financial advisor about Real-Estate Tax deduction. You could possibly avoid capital gains tax on highly appreciated property and by donating a property instead of selling it outright, as a real-estate donor you could avoid paying brokers' fees.
